Diane & Chris
The documentary style of wedding photography is about capturing real emotion. Weddings are typically full of happy moments, but sometimes life throws a curveball, even on a wedding day. Diane and Chris' wedding day started off on a somber note when Diane's father fell and broke his leg, forcing him to miss the ceremony and reception. We had some time after the ceremony, so we all drove over to the hospital so Diane and Chris could spend some time with her father in the Emergency Room. I was so happy they let me tag along, because capturing those real moments is at the heart of what I do. In my mind, the experience also reinforced the importance of wedding photography because you just never know what life has in store and when the photos might be one's only window to a wedding. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Diane and Chris did have a great wedding full of joy and laughs. Thank you for letting me capture ALL of your emotions on this special day.
