When Brighton told me that she and Fred like to dance at the grocery store while waiting at the deli counter, I knew we had our engagment shoot. I love when photo session locations have special significance to the couple. This was definitely one of the most interesting and creative engagement sessions I’ve ever shot, although we had to navigate what seemed like the entire population of Washington, DC replenishing their refrigerators after the blizzard.
What I love about this session is that it is real. Sure, I picked a few spots for them to stand, but the interactions are all them. Brighton and Fred are such a fun, free-spirited couple. The kind of couple that dances at the grocery store while waiting at the deli counter.
Bonus: Brighton and Fred got to shop for dinner during the shoot. That’s quality multitasking.
