Faith, Agnes & Callie :: DC Pet Photographer

Normally when I do a session with cats and dogs, the cats are more challenging to photograph. This session was a little different though. In this case, Faith the English Mastiff was a bit shy but her sibling cats Callie and Agnes were as friendly as could be. Callie took a particular liking to my camera, as you’ll see below.

We met at the park so Faith could get used to me before heading back home. Faith is a gentle giant and by the end of the session she even took some treats from me, which is a big deal for her. Here is a peek into their lives.

Kirsten & Michael :: A Georgetown Engagement Session

Kirsten and Michael braved a sweltering evening for our engagement session in Georgetown a few weeks ago. Of course I didn’t help matters by making them get close and be all lovey dovey touchy feely. Being that they live in different cities I think they were just happy to spend some time together, heat be damned.

A Wedding at the Elkridge Furnace Inn :: Caryn & Sean

Photographing a wedding is always a special event, getting to witness two people and two families join together to create something new. It’s a little extra special when you know the couple. Caryn has been a good friend of mine and my wife’s for a number of years and I think I was the first vendor she hired for her wedding! No pressure! Their wedding was held at the Elkridge Furnace Inn, a fabulous venue for a garden wedding. It was my first time there, and it was a beautiful place for a wedding and reception.

Caryn’s parents share the same wedding date, and one of my favorite moments was seeing Caryn’s mom’s expression when they brought out a surprise anniversary cake for them. Caryn and Sean, thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding images!

Share Our Strength Fundraiser at Charlie Palmer Steak :: DC Event Photographer

I recently had the opportunity to provide event photography in support of an important non-profit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger. Share Our Strength partners with some of the top chefs in the country for an evening of great food and a fun auction to raise money to help end childhood hunger in America. The Washington, DC dinner was held at Charlie Palmer Steak. It was a wonderful evening.

Melissa & Brian :: Ellicott City Engagement Session

Melissa and Brian chose quaint and historic Ellicott City as the location for their engagement session. There was a wonderful wooded path near where Melissa grew up and then we hit the downtown area. I can’t wait for their wedding in October!
